Mädchen* sein!? | Ausstellung im Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz | 30. Oktober 2025 bis 6. Für die Ausstellung wurde eine Architektur entwickelt, die ausreichend Raum für die über 150 Exponate bietet und zugleich das inhaltlich-kuratorische Konzept nachvollziehbar macht. Freistehende, einheitlich groß dimensionierte Wandelemente ordnen die einzelnen Themenbereiche zu einem durchlässigen, offenen Gefüge und bewahren dabei die volle räumliche Wirkung des großen Museumssaals. Durch die präzise gesetzten, zueinander parallel verschobenen Wände erleben die Besucher:innen beim Durchwandern der Ausstellung eine sanft bewegte Dramaturgie aus wechselnden Blickachsen, wodurch sich unterschiedliche Korrespondenzen zwischen den Kunstwerken ergeben. Besonderes Augenmerk galt dem Vermittlungsbereich: Mit einer intimen Raum-in-Raum-Zone zum Chillen, beweglichen Arbeitsmöbeln, Konsolen und Wandleisten in verschiedenden Höhen kann „Das Zimmer“ während der gesamten Ausstellungsdauer von Jugendlichen aktiv bespielt und gestaltet werden. Die großflächige Fassadenbeklebung sorgt für visuelle Präsenz der Ausstellung im Außenraum. Die Ausstattung ist nachhaltig konzipiert: Die Wandkuben sind maßgeschneidert für den Bedarf des Museums und werden nach Ende der Ausstellung zur Wiederverwendung eingelagert.

For the exhibition, an architectural concept was developed that provides ample space for more than 150 exhibits while clearly conveying the thematic structure of the curatorial concept. Free-standing, uniformly dimensioned wall elements organize the content into a permeable, open arrangement of individual chapters and at the same time preserve the full spatial impact of the museum’s large hall. Through the precisely positioned walls, shifted in parallel to one another, visitors experience a gently unfolding spatial dramaturgy as they move through the exhibition, marked by changing sightlines and thus by varying correspondences between the artworks. Particular attention was given to the education and mediation area. An intimate room-within-a-room zone for relaxing, combined with mobile work furniture, consoles, and wall rails at varying heights, allows young people to actively use, appropriate, and shape “The Room” throughout the entire duration of the exhibition. The large-scale facade graphics ensure strong visual presence of the exhibition in the surrounding public space.The furnishings were conceived with sustainability in mind: the wall cubes are custom-designed to meet the museum’s needs and will be stored for reuse after the exhibition ends.
